James Stephen Dailey

February 20, 1942 – August 3, 2011

SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of James Stephen Dailey, 69, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Grace Community United Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Dr. Robb Webber.

James was born on February 20, 1942 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to Esther Pauline Butler and James Hersel Dailey. James graduated from Charles Town High School in Charles Town, WV. He worked for Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) in Washington, D.C. until he retired in 1998.

Mr. Dailey was a member of Asbury Methodist Church in Charles Town, WV and then transferred his membership to Grace Community United Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of the Charles Town Jaycees, the Charles Town Emmaus and a former Master Mason. Mr. Dailey was an active square dancer.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of James is his loving wife, Sandra Kay Dailey; daughter, Angela Kay Toney and husband David P. Toney; son, David L. Dailey; grandchildren, James P. Toney, Brittany N. Dailey and Kyle D. Dailey; brothers, Roger H. Dailey and wife Evelyn of Summit Point, WV, Robert A. Dailey and wife Jean Dailey of Morgantown, WV and Mark D. Dailey and wife Catherine of Pennsville, N.J.; nieces, Jody Sallah, Susanna McMillen and Laura Dailey; nephews, Brian Dailey, Eric Dailey, Roger Dailey, Jr. and Matthew Dailey; great niece, Haddy Sallah; great nephews, Jabel Sallah, Logan Henderson and Angelus John (AJ) Dailey.
