Helen Rebecca Arvin Dailey February 10, 1919 - June 5, 2011 Helen Rebecca Arvin Dailey, 92, of Charles Town, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Winchester, Va., Medical Center. Born February 10, 1919, in Brunswick, Md., she was the daughter of Charles Robert Arvin and Viola Madeline (Phillips) Arvin. Mrs. Dailey was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town. Helen was a member of Kabletown's CEOs and Charles Town AARP chapter 799. At the time of her death she was survived by her daughters, Mildred D. Smith, of Stephens City, Va., and Rebecca D. Cowden and husband, Paul, of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Richard S. Dailey, DVM and wife, Judy, of Chesapeake, Va.; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Dailey-Lipsey and husband, Robert, Heather Dailey-Beckman and husband, Andrew, Chelsea Dailey, Andrea Smith-Robinson and husband, Mark, Jeremy Smith and wife, Cassie, Jonathan Smith and wife, Amy, Alyssa Cowden and Brad Cowden and wife, Cara; 10 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Margaret Painter, of Lovettsville, Va., Betty Miller, of Frederick, Md., Fran Hamilton, of Purcellville, Va., and Truda Webber, of Brunswick; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lloyd Strother Dailey, who died June 30, 1995; sister, Gloria Hinckle; and two brothers, Charles "Bud" Arvin and Warren "Pete" Arvin. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 W. North St., Charles Town, with the Reverend Richard Kroll officiating. Hymns were "How Great Thou Art", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "He Lives." Interment at Edge Hill Cemetery, in Charles Town. Pallbearers were Jeremy Smith, Jonathan Smith, Brad Cowden, Andrew Beckman and Mark Robinson. Friends were received from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Melvin T.
