H. Hart Bennett

April 11, 1983 - October 24, 2009

Herald Hart Bennett went home to the Lord on October 24, 2009.

Born April 11, 1983, Hart, a beloved son, brother, and friend to many, was a 2001 Graduate of Jefferson High School and a 2006 Graduate of WVU, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Studies. He was a 2007 alumni of the Missouri Auction School, which began his journey as an auctioneer associated with Kable Auctioneer. Contracting his services got you an enthusiastic “How ‘Bout a Sale!” to kick things off.

Hart was also employed with The Bennett Agency in Charles Town, representing Farm Family & American National Insurance companies as an Agent.

In keeping with his chosen trades, Hart was a member of the American Angus Association, the West Virginia Cattlemen’s Association, the National Cattlemen’s Association, the Loudoun Cattlemen’s Association, the Northern Virginia Feeder Cattle’s Association, and both the West Virginia and National Auctioneers Associations. His interest in agricultural was bred from a young age with the 4-H Club of America and the National Future Farmers of America Organization. While active with these assemblies he received numerous awards, including the Caledonia Farm award in 2000. He doted on his ever-expanding herd of Black Angus cattle and his Dad’s mule, Madeline.

At the time of his death, he was survived by: Herald Francis “Chip” Bennett, Father; Deborah Hart Bennett, Mother; Alec A. Bennett, Brother; Jonathan M. Bennett, Brother; Catherine Bennett Boone, sister; Dylan G. Boone, Brother-in-Law; special friend Anne Stewart; Dewey, his chocolate lab; Newt, his blue heeler; dozens of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins; and numerous friends, acquaintances, and anyone lucky enough to have crossed paths with this remarkable young man in his short but enviably full life. He was preceded in death by Grandparents Herald D. and Frances Y. Bennett; and Hubert L. and Helen K. Hart.
