Frederick "Sam" Ronald Moore

Frederick “Sam” Ronald Moore, 70, of Charles Town, WV passed away suddenly on Friday, September 16, 2011 in Holland, Michigan, while on a trip. Born August 16, 1941 in Ashland, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Moore and Margaret Elswick Moore.

He retired as Vice President of Marketing for the Marriott Corporation with 25 years of service.

Sam was of the Methodist faith. He loved to golf, boating and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judith Moore, at home; three sons, Steven and wife, Megan of Harpers Ferry, WV; John and wife, Robin of Charles Town, WV; and Gregory and wife, Jodi of Martinsburg, WV; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Alison, Emily, Nathan, Sydney, Carolina and Madeline and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Mader and Anita Mariscalco.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 W. North Street, Charles Town, WV with Rev. Richard Kroll officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, North Central WV, 1110 Prestwick Ave., Morgantown, WV 26508.
