Eunice Elizabeth Bush Thorn, 95 of Charles Town passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her assistant living home in Shenandoah Junction.

Born January 5, 1915 in Charles Town, WV she was the daughter of the late Olin Gains Bush, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Moler Bush. 

Eunice was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town, WV, graduated from Charles Town High School and received her teacher’s degree from West Virginia University. She taught school in Jefferson County and Berkeley County, WV and Clarke County, Va.

At the time of her death she was survived by one brother Olin G. Bush, Jr. of Winchester; one sister Maurine Bush Steel of Frederick; three nephews, and six nieces.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf H. Thorn, brother Abner T. Bush and sisters Loraine B. Smith, F. Lucille Bush and Eva Lee Bush.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV with the Reverend Richard A. Kroll officiating.
