IN REMEMBRANCE Charlotte Athey Kroll Bufton TheCharlotte Athey Kroll Bufton died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. She was the daughter of the late Lester E. Athey and Mabel Humrichrouse Athey.She was a licensed cosmetologist for over 35 years in the Washington, DC,area and owned and operated Charlotte's Beauty Salon in Congress Heights. She was a licensed realtor in WV, MD, and DC.She was a member of Unity Chapter #112 O.E. S., in Camp Springs, MD. She enjoyed playing Bridge at the Senior Center in Ranson.She attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town.She is survived by a son, Rev. Richard A. and his wife, Mary Lois Kroll of Williamsport, MD; a sister, Patricia E. Moyers of Knoxville, TN, and nieces and nephews.She was a preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm T. Bufton; a brother, John Donald Athey; three sisters, Eleanor E. Friend, H. Beatrice Payne and Ann Marie Mattox. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m.at Asbury United Methodist Church. Interment will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Lineboro Cemetery,Lineboro, MD. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday.
