William B. Anders (Brent)

William Brent Anders, 54, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at his home after a 2 1/2 year battle with brain cancer.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. onWednesday, March 28, 2007, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1000 Pleasant Grove Road, Lynchburg, S.C. Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta  handled the arrangements. A memorial service was held in Charles Town at 10 a.m. on April 14, 2007.

Born in Charles Town, he is a son of William G. Anders and Helen E. Robinson Anders. William G. "Bill" Anders passed away on April 9, 2007.

He was a store manager with Radio Shack. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Shepherd College; was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and a Sunday school teacher; he also was a member of the Pleasant Grove Promise Keepers and the TKE Fraternity.

At the time of his death he was survived by his parents, of Charles Town; his wife, Pam Nesbitt Anders, of Olanta; a daughter, Sarah E. Anderson, of Olanta; two sons, Thomas (Michelle) Anderson, of Turbeville and Worth (Leslie) Anderson, of Olanta; a sister Trudy (Jeff) Roth, of Charles Town; two brothers, Clayton (Dana) Anders, of Shenandoah Junction, and Duane (Cathy) Anders, of Dayton, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Clayton and Nora Robinson, of Harpers Ferry; and five grandchildren, Kayla Coker and Whitworth Anderson, Haley, Maxwell and Brody Anderson.

The family requested the memorials be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
