Bobby Dennis Seal

Bobby Dennis Seal, 80, of Charles Town passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson. Born on May 16, 1929, in Charles Town, he was the son of the late Marvin Eugene Seal and Anna May Wolfesberger Seal.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1582 in Brunswick, MD.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, with service in Korea and Japan.

At the time of his death he was survived by two sisters, Betty Day, of Charles Town, and Lois Ballard, of Shenandoah, Virginia; brother-in-law, Charles Williams, of Ranson; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of loving friends, from toddlers to elders, who will miss his kindnesses and remember his example as a Christian gentleman.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Lee Watson, Virginia Prewett and Doris Williams; one brother, Dale Seal; two brothers-in-law, Colonel James V. Prewett and Ephraim W. Day.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 at Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, with the Rev. Douglas Fraim officiating. Interment was in Pleasant View Memory Gardens at Martinsburg, WV.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
